The ChurchData.org platform has been renamed to ChurchSoft.org. Nothing has changed – it’s still the same exact system as it was before, it just has a new name now, to match my other projects, which are also named “______Soft.org.” Please update your bookmarks and shortcuts to use www.churchsoft.org – I will probably let churchdata.org expire in May of 2017.
I bug was reported that existing people could not be added to a family. I fixed that, sorry for the inconvenience! While I was in there I simplified the user interface somewhat. You will now see two buttons at the bottom of the family information: Add new and Add existing – clicking that button will bring up the appropriate form.
The group screens, whether they be study groups, attendance, donations, or just general groups have been cleaned up a bit. Most significantly, the spots where dates are entered are now displayed as popup calendars in your browser, so you can just click on the date instead of having to enter it in MM/DD/YY format.
There was a glitch with attendance that wasn’t showing a list of attended dates in the individual and family areas. This has been fixed. Also, the family attendance will show member by member now. Sort of neat because it points out which family members come on various dates, especially pointing out if a particular family member is absent.
You can now use ChurchData.org to send out emails to your groups. You can also upload one or more files to be sent out. This is convenient for sending out PDF newsletters, etc. Thanks to St. Paul Utica for the concept and request. If you have any questions, please let me know.
